  Today for our Work Awareness Week representatives from Airbus have been in to talk to Year 6 about innovations that are taking place at their plant in Broughton at the moment. The children got to design their own aircraft cabin interiors - with some interesting results.

  Day 3 of our Work Awareness week and more visitors! Mr Cook our caretaker talking about his job as a photographer, a parent governor explaining her town planner role, pupils relative talking about becoming a gas engineer and another parent governor talking about event planning!

  We have had lots of visitors today. PC Woodworth discussed his job with Years 5 and 6. Mrs Hinks, a governor talked to Years 1,2 and 3 about her job at the ice cream farm. Mrs Ridge our secretary visited Reception children to chat about her job.

  Also Becca from Excell Supply Agency spoke to Year 4 about her role as account manager. Also from Excell , Gavyn, also a Governor spoke to Year 6 about his role as Marketing Manager.

  Finally, Mr Regan, a parent visited Year 5 to chat to them about his job at Coleg Cambria. What a great day!

   Year 4 had a visit from Rev Pat from Highways Methodist Church. The children asked some very good questions to learn about her role in the Methodist Church.

  For the start of work awareness Blwyddyn 5 have had two talks today from Ms Blackwell who shared her experience working as a Neuropsychologist and her knowledge of the human brain, followed by Mr Baker who told us all about cyber security. The class enjoyed both talks and asked lots of valuable questions.

  This week is our Work Awareness Week and pupils are learning about lots of different jobs. We also have many visitors coming into classes to talk about their jobs. These visitors include former pupils, parents, staff members ,Governors and members of the community.

• Friends of Penarlag Digging Day Saturday 19th October 2024

  We had a great digging day completing lots of jobs in the school grounds- leaf collecting, bulb and tree planting, weeding.  We had staff, parents, children , governors, prospective parents and children and members of the community attending. Thank you to everyone who attended.
