Visions and Values
Penarlag Primary School was officially opened in 1976. We are part of the Flintshire Local Education Authority and the building is situated on the edge of a residential area in the small town of Ewloe. Our aims of the school are detailed in our vision and mission statement:
Vision statement:
Working together, learning for life and striving for excellence
Mission Statement:
Pupils are our priority. Their health, well being and happiness are central to our daily
work.
Everyone is important. Giving respect for others and for themselves, the
children will develop an attitude that will help them to be successful in
adulthood and lead fulfilling lives as valued members of society.
Natural enthusiasm to learn is fostered, which values the contributions of
each member of the school community. We aim to lead the children towards
self motivation, self discipline , perseverance to become ambitious capable learners
who are ready to learn throughout their lives.
All are welcomed and respected in our school. Home and school must work
together to meet individual needs. We see ourselves as a growing
community to ensure our pupils are ready to play a full part in life and work.
Range of opportunities and experiences broaden horizons for all.
Learning is our main purpose. We believe we can maximise learning by our
teaching, including practical and fun activities and by setting challenging and
meaningful targets. Children are encouraged to become independent
learners who think creatively and reflectively.
Achievement of all members of the school community is recognised, shared and celebrated.
Generate an environment which is caring, stimulating and challenging.
